The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed about the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] here is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company point produced for intervention experiences a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to empower the servicing of all shoppers and raise use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
